The seminar Quest of New Physics at the Precision Frontier aims to provide a platform for fruitful exchange between the diverse communities that use precision measurements to test the Standard Model and search for new physics beyond it.

The scientific programme brings together experimental and theoretical developments in atomic, molecular, nuclear and particle physics. Central topics include precision spectroscopy and the development of advanced atomic and nuclear clocks, searches for variations of fundamental constants and ultralight dark matter, tests of fundamental symmetries, antimatter and exotic atomic systems, strong-field quantum electrodynamics and nuclear-structure effects, as well as atom interferometry, quantum sensing and precision tests of gravity.

The programme also highlights the continuing development of new measurement concepts and optical technologies. These developments illustrate how advances in measurement science open new routes towards both fundamental tests and broader applications of precision metrology.

The award ceremony of the prestigious Helmholtz Prize will be part of the Heraeus Seminar. The prize recognizes outstanding scientific achievements in the field of “Precision Measurements in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine”.  Established in 1973, it is widely regarded as the most prestigious prize in the field of metrology and is awarded in two categories: “Fundamental Principles” and “Applications”.
