The workshop will take place in the lecture hall of the Hermann-von-Helmholtz building on the premises of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in the centre of Berlin, Abbestr. 2-12, 10587 Berlin.  Coffee breaks and lunch are offered in the neighbouring gallery of the building.

PTB was founded in 1887 on the initiative by Werner Siemens and Hermann von Helmholtz. Some of the buildings of the institute date back to 1890, three years after the foundation of PTB. 

We cannot provide parking at the institute, however, the institute can be easily reached via public transport.

How to get there you will find on this map. The main station is about 30 min away by public transport (Bus 245 or S-Bahn/U-Bahn U2).

The closest airport to PTB is (BER, Berlin airport). From the Airport, you can take the FEX train or the S9 (direction Spandau) to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Berlin main station; aproximatly 50 minutes journey). Taxi and Uber options are also be available.

The city of Berlin invites for exploration of its cultural life, rich history, and its many parks, such as the Tiergarten close to the institute.
